Commemorative Symposium for the Establishment of the Center of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence

Tokyo Institute of Technology established the Center of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence on December 1, 2022. The Center aims to foster “co-creative experts” who have the abilities to 1) make full use of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DS&AI), 2) collaborate with other experts to solve problems utilizing DS&AI, and 3) teach DS&AI in various fields of science and engineering. The Center also aims to expand the educational program of DS&AI to other universities. In this symposium, we will discuss what kind of abilities are in demand for DS&AI experts and how universities should be dealing with them from various perspectives in industry, government, and academia both within and outside Japan.
All talks in Japanese will be simultaneously translated into English in Zoom.
